Grow interdependence between government, business, and nonprofits. Each has a specific role in the community. Government provides protection and central infrastructure all can leverage. Business creates innovative solutions and contributes financial support for local community nonprofits. Nonprofits provide quality of life solutions, including cultural and socioeconomic support to maintain human dignity.
Organizing Principle 2
Move the majority of decision making to the local community. Solve social issues using locally-tuned solutions. Enable communities to design their own civic and social institutions that would dramatically improve program effectiveness and quality of life for all.
Governing Principle 3
Merit-based mindset. The best qualified individuals are selected for opportunities regardless of demographics. Open access to high-quality education and training.
Ten Areas of Concern to Improve the Quality of Life:
1. Ensure Human Dignity
The basic requirements for human dignity: Food security. Clean water. Affordable housing. Cooperative community-based healthcare. Social justice. Socially responsible commerce. Promoting human dignity is the best means of implementing and maintaining healthy, safe neighborhoods.
2. Insist on Our Unalienable Rights
The first ten amendments to the current U.S. Constitution is our founders response to those who would be tyrants. They are the spirit that must be protected, but they must be reviewed and updated. We must nullify attempts to limit individual rights and self-determination. When is the government interfering with our freedoms.
3. Improve Wealth Distribution
All individuals are capable of creating and monetizing intellectual property. Strong small businesses grow the wealth of the community. Small farms provide us with variety and nutrient-rich food. 4. Family Ties Before Government
The family is where we get our moral values, not at government institutions -- however you define family. We need to stop abdicating our values to those promoted in advertising campaigns. Importance of families to society.
5. Ensure our Children are Literate
Our ability to participate in the global economy is dependent on citizens' literacy. Each child is a unique creation that learns in their own special way. Parents bear the responsibility and must have the freedom to chose the learning method that works best for their child. The importance of literacy to remain a global player.
6. Subdue Racketeering
Many of the recent laws enacted under the auspices of "criminal reform" have only exasperated the problem. Those involved in criminal enterprise should forfeit any expectation of reduced bail and incarceration. Early community intervention and economic opportunity would dramatically reduce crime rate.
